I actually had my knife blessed by my buddies granddad who's a priest for S&G in case some spooky specter wants to throw some hands

What happens if you stab a ghost with it, it dies?

After many years of study, I have concluded that ghosts almost certainly do not exist. Besides, real life is far scarier than anything the supernatural world can dish out.

i'm not very religious, but I know how much we CAN'T explain. Whether there is a God or a flying spaghetti monster, I couldn't tell you. But having a nice scare in an expedition could lead to some awesome or funny tales, ya know?

Meh, truth be known I'm a ghost. People's belief and fear of the paranormal is ingrained at a subconscious level.

In a dark tunnel complex like was at Pennhurst it could be used to your advantage to spook out unwanted kiddies.
It really doesn't take much. They were about 300 feet away coming down a staircase from the hospital store area talking up a storm. They had no good flashlights and it was obvious they didn't belong down in the tunnels. I put out my light as soon as I heard them and waited. I kicked some debris lightly, they quieted down, did it again a bit harder, they started talking in hush tones. Moment of truth... I left out a low deep moan. They bolted up those stairs like they just had heard a ghost. I was having trouble controlling my laughter in the darkness.
Guess they left the campus because I never saw or heard them again that day. Boo!

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

I wish.
I've been in a lot of old abandoned houses. Some where the owners died in the house, but I've never had any paranormal experiences. Needles/floors/people are the only scary things I've encountered.

This place I'm going to is apparently the "Most haunted hotel in (Hometown)" So this thread became more relevant

That'll be fun. Hopefully something scary will happen. I think all the cool scary stuff only happens to people who don't want to experience it. I'm too eager for it so I never get to have a demon attack me/see something ghostly.

I'm a HUGE pansy when it comes to getting spooked, in truth. Especially since I'm a loner on my expeditions. So I'd be hauling ass like a bat out of Hell.

Bonus false alarm: I was reviewing the footage of an explore, and at one point I was certain you could hear a clear female scream that I didn't hear at the time. I played it over and over, and it was unmistakable. I kept listening for more, and after a short time, I heard it again! And again. Eventually I realized what it was - the air I was exhaling from my mask was hitting the camera's mic in a weird way.

This is pretty much the only thing that has ever caused me alarm- frequently I get wheezy when I'm working hard, and more than once I have scared myself because I didn't realize it was my own lungs making the strange noise that seemed to be following me

"See you guys, you never listen to me. I said there was gonna be trouble but you didn't listen to me. You guys are crazy. You know, you guys are self destructive. There's a funny farm and it has your names written all over it. But I'm gettin' out of here. I'm... I smell ice cream!"

Sometimes when I get allergies and my nose whistles when I breathe out..sometimes I dont realize it and when I'm alone I think someone else is around and that's them breathing. Haha

one time i was in this massive building all by myself because the people I was with had already moved on. I could still hear their voices in the distance and I was trying to get that one last camera shot. I lean in to take the picture and BOOM goes this noise behind me. Scared the shit out of me and well one of my friends threw a rock at a wall.

Never waste a day.

I'm a firm believer in 'the paranormal' to use a broad term mainly due to the house I live in - I've seen and experienced things which defy any logical explanations here. But comparatively I've had very little happen to me in an abandoned building.

The only really notable things I have seen in an abandoned building were a door closing on it's own in a certain Welsh asylum (which about five of us all witnessed, no wind, no draft etc), the distinct sound of boots walking down a corridor in another asylum when nobody else was there and the very very strange feeling I got in a military hospital where the feeling of not being alone and like there is someone standing behind you is a very commonly reported occurence.

Shame, really, but that's what happens when ghost owners don't have them fixed.

Actually me and a friend did have a weird encounter once, but I forgot about it until just now. We were in a huge mill that was pretty wide open back then, and suddenly we start hearing what sounds like a voice. It's the middle of the day and we think it's probably security, so at first we are worried about getting caught and start looking for a place to hide. When we enter one of the main rooms to go down a set of stairs the sound suddenly gets louder, and unfortunately more distinct. We whisper to each other and agree that it sounds like someone wretching convulsively- it was one of the most guttural, animalistic sounds I have ever heard, and it was terrifying. Whatever it was kept spewing out this horrible noise in an unsettling rhythm, and it sounded all wrong... it was like nothing I have heard before or since.

Keep in mind that this friend had never been "exploring" before and this was a seriously big, dark location so even before anything happened he was freaked out. Now I could tell he was terrified, and I was pretty scared too. We stepped back, quietly discussed and decided to immediately go the opposite direction from this sound and then get the hell out of there ASAP. Neither of us knew what it was, or whether it was even a person, but I know I didn't want to find out.

I came to find out later that the remaining sump would make some pretty weird noises, so I don't know whether it was that or someone who was having a really bad day, but I'm pretty certain it was not a ghost

My friend never went exploring again

One of the first shoots I did was at an abandoned college near me, just the external. As I was going around by where the gymnasium was, I heard this banging, shuffling, and voices from inside. I took off at that moment, all logic abandoning me. I was on a bike, and I hit the curb hard. As I sat on the hill out front, trying to recover from the pain, logic returned and I made the assumption that it must have been a couple of people either exploring, vandalizing, or shooting up.
