~ Day and Night ~

Shit still goes more or less around my head (yeah, there really is some kind life), so one night I did tought what could be best way to get your mind off. Light painting was first thing to get in my mind. You know, that strange mood when you are alone in completely dark and abandoned building and of course counting seconds while lightning and million other things: they all can keep your mind off from shit quite well.

At this time I did choose this place far from city lights, 20+ kilometers to countryside. Two hours, 12 variations of 3 photos. After publishing those pics on my Autiot ja unohdetut Facebook page I did start to think... why wouldn't I get there and once again experience it like it would be my first visit to there, forget all photos that I've taken there before. At this saturday morning was time to that and here are the results.

Loneliness of Cold Saturday Morning:

Trees and House (Getting Closer):

Sauna and Tree:

So Familiar Stillness:

"Reasons to Our Fears" (I know where my fears were from):

Fear of Weight (Above You):

Colorful Chaos:

Book of Past:

When Cold Winter Light Were Born:

Far, Far Away (Shall Our Dreams Die at the End of it All):

Pages from the Past:

New Age:

Morning Light and Shadows:

...and then to light painting section. These were actually taken two days before - technology is amazing... or at least my posting order is.

Shadow Forest:

Cold, Colorful Winter Night:

Chair for the Last One:

-------

And now we get really amazing part of this post: this last (off-topic-bonus-picture of course) were taken even before all of photos above, think that! This was taken at last sunday morning. Omnium Gatherum's gig at night before, lot of drinking, no sleep at all. You can think that too, but don't too much.

That's all, folks. At this time, not for all time, I hope.

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

I'm glad that I were able to catch that light on snow. House were in shadows and light were as bright as it can late February morning be here in Finland.

Excellent work as always! All of the light painting shots are phenomenal! I also love the cylinder shaped wood stove. I noticed these seem to show up often in your shots. Are they common in your area or do you just like to photograph them?
Hope all is well with you!

Thank you very much! I'm planning if I could get myself take more light painting pictures at next week, but we'll see, it's getting colder again...

Good observation: those ovens are really common in old houses here. Could almost say it's harder to find houses where ain't those than these where are those.

And everything... goes. Rollercoaster of better and worst, but that's life I suppose.

I get the feeling that this home's previous inhabitants were very cool and we would have gotten along well. This assumption is based on what's left of their awesome decor, the colored yarn ceiling light in particular.

Great photos and a great location. I wish it would snow here in Texas more. We barely saw one night below freezing here this year! Good job!

Oh, I meant to also say how much I love that last "bonus" shot you posted. That is really beautiful. The textures and linear components make it look like it was etched. I really like it.

Yeah, I feel it too! I'll think that it might have been at it's late summer cottage for some really "living in this time" people, there ain't no other way to explain that orange room look.

That is thing way I love photographing in snowfall: it gives so drawing like mood to photos. I'm bad what comes to drawing, so that is closest thing to draw for me.
