Hey y'all, this was my first completed UE. It's probably a well known spot, but I was excited to explore the area! I'm more of a photographer, but I'm looking forward to finding some more abandoned places!

Deuterium I think these are different places! The rooftop didn't look like that and there were only a couple trees near by. I'd be a little sketched out walking on slick aluminum roofs like that.

It's always neat to see a spot you're familiar with through someone else's eyes. Nice explore.

I'm just curious... did you see any signs of recent habitation? And was the bottom of the stairs blocked by something?

Deuterium may have confused places for a moment, but your spot probably looked familiar to him because we visited there one night with another friend a while back.

There didn't appear to be anything too new here, although an acquaintance told me that a homeless man is paid to keep druggies and squatters off the property. He said he was cool with photographers though.

There was a minor blockade at the bottom of the stairs, but it was easy enough to step over.

Theory is that someone who lives at or frequents this site has a dog, and he doesn't want it to wander up those stairs. Whenever we've gone there we've moved his barrier aside and replaced it when we leave.

Wow, that's actually quite interesting! I'll keep that in mind the next time I go.

I didn't see anyone last time I was there, but had the distinct feeling that someone was indeed living there. With the growing homeless issues in this city, it's pretty safe to assume that anywhere that's not actively occupied probably has someone living in it. Better than in a tent by the freeway.

Just a word of warning if you go back- the exterior stairs are in plain view of a nearby full-time bridge operator, and back in the day someone I knew got busted there and they thought it was the bridge operator who called it in

"See you guys, you never listen to me. I said there was gonna be trouble but you didn't listen to me. You guys are crazy. You know, you guys are self destructive. There's a funny farm and it has your names written all over it. But I'm gettin' out of here. I'm... I smell ice cream!"
