Looking for advice on these shots

These are some shots I took on the Canon Sureshot (not certain what exact model). It's a little point and shoot, and I wasn't really concentrating too much on composition or anything with these photos. I was just documenting my explore. However, I'm looking to get better with my photography, and so I was looking for some critique and advice based off of these photos. Thanks in advance.

1,4, and 6 aren't squared off and they should be. Shot 1 is off be just a degree or so... it happens.

Does your Canon come with the DPP photo app? If so use it to adjust tone curves and more. I like to handle it as a b&w, do the tone curve, adjust saturation. Many times that's all that's needed if the wb/exposure was correct when shot.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

I'm not sure about the DPP photo app, but I can check in on it. Thank you very much for the advice

You're welcome. Those shots came out well. The viewfinder makes a difference when lining up shots. Generally the more expensive cams have bigger and brighter viewfinders that make shooting easier. The difference is really striking on the pro bodies.

Brace the cam on whatever is handy at the height you need to shoot from. A bush towel in between the cam and where you're shooting off of may make it easier to line the shot up and helps keep the cam clean.

I was looking at that cams specs. Don't think it comes with DPP. If you know someone with one of D series cams, ask for a copy of it or to borrow the disk. Try it out. Not sure how well it will work through.
Load the Canon photo browser, Zoom Browser too.
