We finally made it out here after knowing about it for what seems like FOREVER. But, when folks starting blasting information out for the world to see, we figured we ought to get there soon before it gets destroyed and/or sealed like a couple of other places recently. I took waaaaay too many pictures, as usual, and it's taking me days to go through them. Geezus.

...anyway, here's just a few, and I'll likely add more as I go.

Glad you got to see it! Nice shots (as usual). I'm hoping you'll post more from this place, it's always nice to get a different perspective. I wish I knew you were headed up that way, I have a few spots you may have been interested in.

We skipped a couple in Kilgore, but otherwise, we were not super motivated that day. Hahaha. We just wanted to get this place out of the way. Thanks for the compliments, friend!

Please do keep adding!
The first shot of the 2nd set is phenomenal. The color variation is great, my eyes keep jumping back and forth, but the DOF cleverly keeps it from being 'too busy'.

Damn, great set. I'd love to see more of that MAZE of pipes in #3 of your fist post. Also I cant help but think how sexy this would look during sunrise/set...you'd be able to get some really nice light effects through the holes in that tangle of pipe.

Really really nice shots. Great location.

We were there for mid-day sun, and one shot I took with the light coming through looked a mess...like, seizure inducing. Hahaha. Sunset/Sunrise would probably be less harsh, for sure!

Thanks, friend! I was surprised at how colorful this place was, really. Tons of painted pipes in various colors, and then entire stations in that same color. Perhaps so the workers would know what does what?

I do not recommend photographing pipes if you're OCD like me about symmetry. This picture was a PITA because those pipes are not all in straight lines... -_-

...annnd yay! Douglas even has his own pocket on my backpack...it's terrible. :/ His next few pictures have been taken, I just haven't made it to those folders to process. Hahahaha. Since I picked him up, I've only missed one spot that he's hasn't appeared in because we were 'asked to leave' by an official person. Hahaha. I wanted to say, 'But, wait...can I please just photograph this plastic dinosaur here really quick?'

I 'think' he might be a velociraptor...? (He's small, though I haven't had him in any photos for size comparison for people who haven't seen him in person.) Too 'delicate' to be a T-Rex, but, definitely more deadly than a simple 'dino'... ;)

Great shots!! Looks like my kind of place. Hopefully the public attention towards it does not mean it will get all tagged up and stripped for scrap.
