Hey everyone. We discovered these buildings on another adventure close by that ended up empty handed. nether the less we scoped out these two buildings that were close by each other. We spent a good amount of time in both buildings. The second building may need a mask if anyone recognizes it. We tried not to give the location away. Was a really neat urbex

The next batch of photos are from an adjacent building. We definately needed a flashlight and a mask yet he did not have any. Cool stuff out there and enjoy:

Ive heard so many stories of people getting caught up there, me and my group have been tossing around the idea of getting nightvision gear from bass pro shop and go at night.

I went a week ago during the day, and it was actually very easy to get around unseen. Even the gym, which is.. ridiculously close to the police station.

I actually ran into a couple while I was there last week. I was so convinced that it was you two.

Yo yo so that's funny cause we posted our visit that same night. We used some trail to find the gym. We passed by many people walking dogs and walking the trail and through the trees that take you there.

I'm still new to this community and have been wanting to explore this place more (I've only seen a small section of the fort). Would you recommend going with someone who has been there who knows all the good spots, should I look at Google Earth (I'm actually currently doing that right now) and plan my exploration according to what I see, or should I drive around the area and get off at random interesting looking areas? Thanks guys!

Go with someone who knows the spots. I know the heart of exploring is....exploring. But it's pretty spread out so you don't want to waste time if you have someone who knows where to go.

Night vision is overkill for Ord (and basically anywhere else). Everything is incredibly easy here with hardly any concern from authorities.

Yes I've noticed that the city is starting to consume the fort, and it's hard to tell which buildings are occupied and which aren't via google earth. Thank you kindly

Every photo, every explore is new and fresh. We also got the opportunity to explore our 2nd abandoned water treatment facility. How cool is that!! We spent a few days (over the period of a few weekends) at this location snapping away with our cameras. We even included a really awesome "Michael Meyers" character from the horror movie "Haloween". Here are more photos to share.

I'm surprised there aren't any subterranean bunkers or fall-out shelters here.

The basements were mainly storage and all the bunkers I have found are more like storage (on ground with heavy doors and thick walls/roofing)

Anyone know anything different?
