Awesome job! Your combo of perspective and color in #2 is fantastic! Very nice.

One of my cousins lives about 15 minutes from this place. She hasn't been inside, but she loves to walk around the building. Says the guard is pretty chill as long as he doesn't catch you going inside. If I ever get the chance I'll have to check this place out.

MisUnderstood, puddlejumper, and Equinox, thanks a lot!

It is a neat place - had a lot of fun shooting there, especially with the colors on the upper floor from the sun shining into the brightly painted rooms.

I'm a sucker for black and whites, esp with peeling paint. Good shots nice composition and good color contrast on some of these. I would however like to see a bit less exposure on the window shots. I recently discovered the "clarity" function in Photoshop which literally transforms an overexposed window into a clear pane of glass that you can see through. It only slightly darkens the rest of the pic which can be compensated for in other ways. Given the location by the sea I think 4 & 5 could easily be made to look like 6 (my favorite).

I'm still learning this whole photo thing so take it for what it's worth.

Thanks. I often use the clarity function to pull out texture in my work and it is awesome.

I've been playing around with the exposure in those two images - basically I could do two exposures of the RAW and merge the glass portions of the window so you can see the trees beyond and keep the rest. Not sure if I want to do that or leave as-is. I shot #6 with a higher f-stop and quicker shutter than #4 & 5 so I could pull the shadows up in post as opposed to having to pull the highlights down.

Good advice though, thank you very much.
