Its a bit of a trial by fire around here. Social Darwinism at its best! If you REALLY want to see if you have what it takes to survive vitriol that reduces lesser people to a puddle of blubbering goo, ask for locations in your area.

"Hey guys, I'm new here and to Urban Exploration". Anyone know any cool sites in the XYZ area that I can explore?"

First of all, great shots. My personal preference in post processing is somewhere in between the example image Vicinity posted and the version posted here.

Second, "trial by fire" indeed. What the hell is it about urbex that leads to such abrasive conversations online??? Perhaps I haven't had to fend off enough n00bs yet to develop such a jaded attitude but geez, people. I'm surprised that I haven't been burnt to a crip for saying something stupid yet.

On the upside, this forum is not the "good old boys club" that I was expecting and I've found some really great resources and conversations. But still, let's relax a bit, huh?

You might want to check the dates on some of these threads before you reply to them. It's good that you want to congratulate them on their pictures, but the previous most recent post on this thread was 2+ years ago.

I know that its a super old thread, I still like it regardless and don't think that just because it was posted a while ago means I can't comment on it.
