Do you do anything for crisp-ness in post processing? O.o

I usually bump the clarity up a bit in Lightroom. Not a bit fan of the sharpening algorithms but I find that increasing the clarity helps the contrast to pop nicely - I think it works well with my style, anyway.

ETA: Also, the lens I use is wonderfully sharp - it's a Tokina 11-16mm F/2.8 - very nice glass, especially for the price.

Thank you very much.

I wanted to make sure I hit this place before all the snow melted - good thing too, because it started to melt the next day!

Just wow, man. This whole set is excellent. You encapsulated this place well.

I figured you bumped your clarity up, all of your shots have this grittiness to them. Fits abandonments well. It's your style and you own it

My thoughts exactly! I hate sharpening, but use the clarity setting all the time. The only thing extra that I will do is sometimes I'll target specific sections afterward that are attention focal points and run a noise reduction on them just so that the photo doesn't look so obviously clarified. Or cut small sections from the original photo and paste them onto the clarified one with feather blending set appropriately for the edge, just to cover up the sections that got too gritty.

I think I'm the opposite, OR don't truly understand clarity. I don't like what it does to images in Photoshop. So, I sharpen over clarity... :/

I hadn't thought about using the features in specific sections of the photos. I don't usually find that there's one area of the photo I want to enhance over another, but this is still a really good idea to keep in mind.

I think whatever works to get the image to look the way you want it to is the right way to do it!
