Unfortunately there wasn't much daylight by the time I reached this place, so many of the pictures turned out grainy. It was a fascinating unplanned stop on my way up to visit the Titan.

The town isn't completely abandoned. There is at least one house that still has residents, but most of the place is a ghost town.

Love the loneliness of #2, and the color contrast of #3.

Some friends and I visited here recently, and someone has taken over the marketplace and there were signs that someone has occupied some of the homes. Anyone know anything more about this?

The marketplace was being worked on when I was there last month. I know a couple homes are occupied but 90% of the town is abandoned.

A word of warning. If you explore up in Tyrone, don't sneeze. It'll attract Mr. Private Property who will yell "Private Property!" at you from a mile away all the while hanging out of his Jeep as he drives up to you to continue yelling "Private Property" at you and then circle back to his house while still hanging out of his Jeep yelling "Private Property" at you. Lol.

We didn't have that problem, explored Tyrone thoroughly without any sign of anyone else, but we were told that the marketplace was owned by this guy who came out and had the entire property fenced off with keep out signs. And then there were some pretty modern cars at the end of the row of houses
