Back in November, after checking out a hospital that had been on my radar for a while, my exploring partner for the weekend offered to show me around a place that he was familiar with, and that I had never heard much about. Of course, I jumped at the chance. While we were both pretty exhausted due to our adventure a couple days earlier, we still spent the good part of a picturesque Sunday walking the grounds of this complex. We saw some pretty interesting stuff (including another explorer nearly falling through the floor in front of us), and I must say, the location itself far exceeded my expectations. Huge, huge thanks to Leopard 18 for showing me around!

Fuck yes! Great stuff here buddy. I walked all over this place a few years back but never went in. One of my friends owns the industrial park next to the facility, so he wanted to show me the place even though I didn't have my camera.

This looks like a great place! Nice set! It's really cool seeing the state of decay some of the buildings are in but others look more modern with the power still running.

Thanks man! I'd definitely recommend checking it out again next time you're up this way.

The variety here was definitely my favorite part of the trip; it was interesting going back and forth between relatively clean, lit buildings to ones where the decay was much more advanced. Thank you both!

Man, loving the contrast between the pristine nature of some of those rooms contrasted with the breaking down of others.

Any idea of when it closed? Stuff left behind like the old tube TVs and slides suggest it hadn't really modernized.

Thanks! The school officially closed in 2014, but the vast majority of buildings had clearly been closed in phases before then. Stuff like the TVs and wheelchairs were concentrated more in the older buildings.

Those slides were pretty wild to stumble across..there was a section of the building with a ton of them scattered around the floor. They looked like they were of random children/staff members around the campus, crazy they left them all there.

This is awesome! Great pictures.

I wish there was a hospital still somewhat in-tact like this one in my area. We got one, but it's mainly empty.

Prohobo in training.
