A Recently Abandoned Hospital

This hospital opened in the early 1900s and remained in service at this location for a little over 100 years. It just closed recently when they moved to a new location. Not long after the move, our plan was formulated and carried out.

This was one of those explores that unfortunately aren't repeatable for very long. And the method of entry was prohibitive for anyone unable to perform the correct sequence of gymnastics. But the stars were aligned and the time was right in the brief window of opportunity that once existed here for us. And we were rewarded for our efforts. It has since been emptied out, sealed up and sold.

Nice shots and good job on the infil. Are you sure about the opening date? The cinder block walls and drop ceiling look pretty contemporary.

Gotta love when planets align, olympic gymnast abilities pull through and go-go gadget appendages allow for such a great explore !!

Sweet shots you have here...I couldn't help but notice alot of crucifixes...is this a Catholic type hospice?

Damn. I'm absolutely shocked that they left that much stuff there. I mean, test tubes, biohazardous sharps, even lab coats. From my experience, hospitals take everything with them when they move. They must have been set on some real nice upgrades to leave everything. Nice job!

thanks for giving it a try

The OP says everything had been cleared out not long after, so they managed to catch the place in the limbo between 'shut down' and 'empty' with epic results.

Wow looks like they literally left everything! Very lucky that you were able to get inside during that small window of time.

This. And yeah the original building here, which was the main part of the campus, opened in 1904. Closed (moved) in 2014.

Wicked find.

That was some luck to catch it during that grace period.

At first glance, i thought that was an ice cream sandwich in the freezer. Heh.

Funny you would say that! I thought it was a Klondike Ice Cream Bar myself, lol.

Awesome window of opportunity. A lot of expensive equipment there. MRI, CT scanner, etc. Enjoyed your pics!
