Typically I do not dabble in houses because they get ransacked pretty quickly and for the fact that Texans love their guns. After my last house exploration ended with a gun pointed at my group, I have avoided homes. I figure I have a lot more locations that do not carry the same amount of risk. However, after a tip from a friend, I could not resist checking this location out. This old Victorian home reminds me a lot of the houses I see Storytrail, Bvmblebee, Freaktography, and others post north of the border. I've always been jealous of the time capsules they post and have hoped to find one myself. It's rare we get gems like this down in Texas, so pardon me for drooling. I'm assuming the owner was either a hoarder, or that the home was used as storage at one point because the place is simply overflowing with artifacts and knick knacks. It was actually a little overwhelming to shoot because I had a hard time picking my framing and what to capture. I spent a couple hours inside and already have plans to return to capture the shots I missed and to attempt to investigate the owner and the conditions leading up to its abandonment (and I was so in awe I forgot to take my signature butt shot anywhere in the house). This might be a bit picture heavy compared to what I normally post, but I wanted to share as much of it with everyone as I could. Enjoy!

Wow !!

I spent a good 20 minutes pouring over all the details of your pictures...I can see how a day, two or three even could easily be spent here.

Be interesting to learn of the story behind why everything was just left and the Christmas stuff still up is sad to me...hopefully your successful in learning this info.

Those mannequin type dolls all over the place are creepy as f**k !!
The one in front of the window looks like someone is in there looking out...if I seen that I would shit my pants

Fantastic set and I can't wait to see more !!!

Absolutely the MOST interesting old house of Treasures I've seen in a long time! Im guessing who ever lived here ran a Vintage Shop either out of their home or one nearby. So many pricey items just sit there unattended. Ones I've actually seen on ~Antique Avenue's~. This is unreal and quite a fabulous find. Love the lamps, the mannequins, & Stained glass windows. You been away for a while, but came back with a Hit!

HAHAHAHAHAHA! ...every place he goes, he takes his infamous booty shots. In fact, yesterday he went missing...so, three of us explorers were worried because it's not like him to not show. Turns out, he dropped his phone in the water, thus the 'radio silence'...BUT...there was a discussion about how fun it would be if he was missing because he got caught taking a booty shot in the wrong place. lol

Wow so much to see here!! I would be very interested to learn a bit of the backstory of the owner. All the Christmas stuff makes me wonder if the house was abandoned around the holiday time, or if it was one of those hoarder situations where they keep the Christmas decorations up all year long.

All those mannequins around = creeptastic. Loving the stained glass in the last shot. Was not expecting that.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. This story has a really sad ending in that before I could revisit the site with Tiffers and RevSM and establish a history of the location, someone broke the stained glass and lit this gorgeous house on fire. When I did explore it, I rushed through the house because I had other locations I wanted to see that day. I had also accidentally dropped my phone in water earlier and wanted to get home to try and resuscitate it. Never take a site for granted, because you may never get another opportunity at it. Biggest disappointment of my exploring career. R.I.P. Treasure Trove.
