Thank you, that's good advice. I shoot RAW so I can increase the exposure - probably could pull #7 up a little more. I'm considering bringing along some kind of LED light array that's a little better than a flashlight for doing fill. Any suggestions?

Light filling was never a strong point of mine. There are others here with much more expertise doing that. You need a diffused light source(s). Shooting at sunrise or set plus back filling should grab it if it's worth the trouble. HDRs
are another way to capture images like this. Or simply PS the blown out portions.

When your in the buildings keep an eye out for windows, roofs, etc on the upper floors high enough to where you can square off the exterior shots you want. Use anything that will get the height you need.
Places like this are fun to go to multiple times and play around favorite areas until you get it dialed in. Always stay until sunset and save a choice spot to shoot during that golden time.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Yeah, I'll have to go back sometime. Tricky to schedule since I've got young-ish kids, but maybe when I'm in the area next. I'd love to go back there when the foliage is starting to grow all over everything. I love that kind of look.

Excellent job of documenting the location! Amazing set of photos. The weather really set the mood for the location too!

Thanks a lot - I really got lucky with the combination of mist without rain.
