I figured I might as well do one of these as well. While I didn't manage to get to nearly as many spectacular locations as many of you, I do feel like this past year saw my photography improve and evolve significantly. Some of these pictures may not be strictly UE related, but are still a representative selection of the shots I'm proudest of. Placing my best selections side-by-side like this also helps me identify both the good and bad habits I employ while taking pictures. The images are a mix of film and digital. Bonus points will be awarded for those of you who can tell me which is which!

Riverside Power Plant

I didn't manage to get inside this lovely old hydro plant this year, but I was lucky enough to visit it twice in 2014. I've really enjoyed seeing it pop up in several other explorer's year-end lists.

Getting High at Work

Church of the Saintly Banana

Local Truss Bridge

Hitch 'N' Go

Hopeless Church

Beached

Sun-Bleached Granary

I95

Sediment

City Center

Old Favorite

Second Amendment Feed Store

The classic small-town abandonment, complete with American security solutions and curious kids.

In the Back

Slave quarters in a 19th-century manor.

Return of the Local Bridge

Sleeping

These next couple of shots are all from one of the only thorough exploration outings I've done since moving out to the country.

Slip Right In

Cavernous

House of God

Breakfast Interruptus

Salty

Arty Button Factory

I wanted so badly to walk in the open front door of this place, but a local artist lives and works in the building, and I didn't feel like intruding on their space without their permission.

As always, constructive criticism is expected and appreciated. Thanks for looking!

I like 'sediment', (and it's digital)

Regardless of UE or not I think this is a real solid year. I'm gonna bite on the bonus points and pick 'Getting High at Work' and 'Local Truss Bridge' as two film shots.
