Built in 1963, this small concrete block church sits on a quiet street among a neighborhood of relatively new houses and a masonic lodge. Its final service took place on July 16, 2006. While it is a small building, almost everything was left behind including pews, the altar, Bibles, books and other furniture, making this a fun way to start the year. It also appears that someone had been squatting in the basement at one point. Full credit for finding this one goes to my friend who is not on UER.

I don't know why, but on #4 I imagined everyone got trapped in the building during a winter storm, and in order to stay organized one of the more leader types decided to figure out what food they had stocked up.

Thanks for the replies. Bet the kids would love it if they were snowed in and only had Doritos, Oreos and candy to eat. At least until they got sick.

#14 is especially neat. I really love the list of food items too. I'm not religious at all but the ones I went to as a kid were such calm, peaceful places that it's really surreal to see them in such disrepair.
