Trying to improve my Photography and Photoshop skills. Although this is not really Photoshop since I shot these photos on my iPhone 5S and I used the Aviary app to edit them. Sorry about the repeated subject on 2&3, I couldn't decide one over another.
1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

1: What an interesting find. The shorter pole and stuff attached to its top look like the Grim Reaper. Nice depth of field too.

2, 3: The overly dark brick structure might be fixable by editing to illuminate shadows. Next time try exposure compensation of +1 to keep the bright sky from swamping your light meter. Or compose a shot that includes little or no sky. Or a clear day, giving a darker sky, might be all the help you need.

5: Again, great depth of field, and a gritty composition. Looks like an album cover for something I'd like to hear.

My compliments on your promising technique and an eye for what's intriguing.

Thanks for the compliments and the suggestions!

On #1, I would straighten the pole. It looks like you were going for a centered subject on #2, but it isn't. I would also suggest straightening #5.

Since you did these on your phone, I would suggest focusing on the sky (by tapping the sky on the phone screen), so it shows up in your photos. The buildings would be underexposed, but can be fixed in your Aviary app. Instead of tapping on the building and losing the entire sky. I hope that makes sense!

Just as a second opinion - I would say not to straighten the pole in the first picture. The perspective is really cool how it is!

Certainly not an expert opinion, but I really enjoy #2. If the sky was more blue, it would be even cooler. I think that's called "overexposed"?
