This office, factory, and warehouse was built in the early 1940's in Chicago and was home to a major electronics company that produced radios, televisions, and phonographs. The company closed its doors in the late 1990’s. At that time the building was divided into other businesses, mostly related to car repair shops. Part of the top floor of the northeastern part of the building became rehearsal space for heavy metal bands in the early 2000’s, closing down around 2008.
