Hi, everyone! I know they're not much (I don't yet own a proper camera), but I'm super proud of these quick cellphone snapshots of my first urbex adventure.

I love how CRT screens are basically not worth their weight anymore.

On the contrary, some of those look like they should be paired with some really old/rare computers, and if in good condition would be valuable to collectors. For the most part though you couldnt pay people to take them.

I have an old fine pitch Trinitron on in storage. For gaming and vids this 80# monster still rules due to the delay after glow of the phosphors and near total black level.

To OP; nothing wrong with your pics. They came out well. Thank you for sharing and... welcome to UER.

I really like the pictures from the roof, especially the one with all of the vents coming up.

They have lots of old computers in that room but the really cool things in there that I've noticed are an original ditto machine, what looks to be a very early digital movie theater projector, as well as tons of old mechanical keyboards.

What might be a digital theater projector:

One of the many mechanical keyboards, this one was pretty awesome since it was tenkeyless with Alps switches:

Slightly off topic but they are kind of fun to drag behind a car down the county roads... The small ones get airborne around 100!

I wouldnt advise doing this at a location, as it is vandalism, but have you ever turned one on so the crt is charged, unplugged it, and put a hammer through the glass? It basically explodes, and if you have a safe place to try it, it is a very satisfying feeling.

That is in fact an old school projector. Before the advent of compact LCD/DLP projectors we have today. Almost bought one once, heard that if set up properly, their quality was excellent. But there's lots of set up involved to get one working right, and their sheer size alone is kind or a turn off.

Nice find!
