I've been waiting for this building for a loooong time, going back at least once a year to see if things had changed. It was abandoned in 2004 but soon it was squatted, then anti-squatted and used for police training somewhere in between. Finally the moment was there. I stepped through a freshly broken window and shrugged off the years of curiosity. The broken window isn't something to be terribly happy about, it's probably made by vandals for vandals and where I live it doesn't take long for a vacant building to be completely raped with graffiti. Anyway, I noticed that the anti-squat residents had left... or have they? Most rooms were empty but going deeper into the building I started bumping into more furniture and personal items, and finally into some closed off doors with lights burning behind them. Woops. Luckily no one noticed me and I could continue shooting the rest of the building. I had to race against a quickly setting sun and before I knew it was pitch black inside. I grabbed my flashlight for the last couple of shots and unexpectedly the last photo became my favourite of the day.
