Some recent explorations with
Pentax p30t and
Olympus SP350.
I think i've found a perfect solution to all my camera issues. Always carry around old but trustworthy camera (10years old!) that has AA batteries and film camera "on special occasions".

Somewhere in Latvia, inside a forest lies abandoned luge track. I knew about this place since 2008 but i always had more interesting places on my list to explore. After all this was more interesting than i imagined.

Luge track is quite long and it's not easy to follow the tracks after a rainy day because mud is very slippery out there. However i risked to walk along the track from start to finish. At the end i found some strange simulators which were used for training, metal constructions that looked like a carousel. Surprisingly that scrappers still haven't cut these constructions because nearby there's a small village.

A fellow explorer took me to abandoned laboratory. He had an idea about doing this:
idea is really cool because light is so bright you don't need flashlights anymore. Phosphorescent liquid (which is inside glowsticks) doesn't leave much traces.

Almost everything left in the laboratory is in perfect condition, still useful. Unfortunately the building itself is in a very bad condition and about to collapse in winter time, there are huge cracks everywhere, brr. I really don't want to explore this place one more time.

There are also a lot of storaged chemicals. Some of them are poisonous so it's another reason why i didn't like that place much. I wouldn' like to step on these old thermometers where are mercury inside, there are lots of these kind of things left.
I didn't took more pictures because batteries were dead. There would be a lot of more cool pictures but...oh well. i never take much pictures, anyway.

What's exciting to do? Re-visit places which were accessible 5 years ago, then closed and re-opened this year!!!
I love this factory, it's called "Sarkanais kvadrats" (red quadrangle). It's famous because everything out there is covered with black soot. So it's a 'red quadrangle' when it burns and it turns to 'black quadrangle' whenever it's not burning. Heh.

This interesting building is nearby where i live. It used to be a water-supply station looooooooooong, loooooooooooong very looooooooong time ago. I really don't know if it's abandoned or not. It looks abandoned from outside but i am not sure about the inside. There's a security company's sticker on one of the windows so i am not sure. Eh .Maybe, someday?
Oh yeah, this picture is taken in 2015. YES, it is a Soviet vintage car. Unexpectedly it appeared on the photo. Looks cool, though.

Everybody's life is average (eat/shit/die). Mine as well. But strangely this sign comforts me. It says "you're boring and you're gonna die anyway". Do people fear to be average?
