I just stumbled across this tidbit. Apparently, local police used a popular abandoned building for a gang/drug sting operation. I thought it was kind of interesting seeing a building I explored used in the news story. Prior to exploring the building, I didn't know police used the building as overwatch on wired drug house. Glad I didn't explore it DURING the operation. You can find the 6 part video series on YouTube.

I can add some older interior shots to this. This was before there was any Police presence, And most of the windows were still intact when i was there. But its been a few years.

This reminds me of an abandoned gas station I found way up in the boondocks, with a police tape hanging off of the old gas pumps and a sign on the door that said "POLICE CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION- DO NOT ENTER- VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED"

As if that's ever stopped any of us, but the crime scene investigation was what turned me away.
