This little old factory made floor tiles for the rich, handcrafted and very durable. The owners, a couple but also nephew and niece, lived in an adjacent house. The factory went out of business around 1940, the last resident of the house died in the early '70s. A recent collapse shows how the years of decay take their toll, even accrow props placed by the cultural heritage agency can't hold the building up.

At the end of my visit I wondered why all my photos showed flares, looked at my lens and it was full of greasy smears Need to return and reshoot soon.

Nice work! #11 and #16 are my favorites- the way you catch the color of the fallen leaves in #11 and the contrast between the ceramic tiles and their surroundings in #16 are both amazing. Still, it was hard to choose two favorites- all of the photos have something that makes them unique.

"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.

4,6, 13, 17. and 22. You find the Greatest places! I did take notice of how thick and sturdy those tiles were. Not even close to the ones we put in our homes these days. I had to blow these up to see the blurs...No worries, Your pics Rock!

GREAT set. Subjects and photos all around.
If my brain did see the smears/flares, it just added to character of the scene.
