Over five years ago I made my first trip to this brickworks and only saw the less interesting half of the site due to there being many workers around the place with forklifts and stuff. After that it's a place I kind of forgot about, I moved on to other things but while looking for something relatively nearby to explore I suddenly remembered about the old place.

Getting on site was just as easy as five years back however in the time between my visits they have gone totally mad with the palisade fencing, putting it over almost every single doorway and opening into the buildings. Luckily we found a tight squeeze into the building and we were in. I wasn't too bothered about the side with the chimneys as that is the stuff I saw back in 2010 but was very pleased to see the more interesting building across the railway line.

The brickworks closed in 2008 along with many other similar brickworks when there was a small issue with the economy, and has never reopened. It was once home to the largest brick firing kiln in the world.

This was my 100th explore of 2015.

Hundred explorations per year is...OMG YEAH DO WANT
100+ explorations per year i had only in 2008 and 2010. Hah,that was a long time ago. There was even a notebook where i named down locations i've explored..I keep these years in my mind as the best time i've had so far.

This year i have explored only 34 locations. That seems so little compared to 100.

Probably good that it's fenced off tight, looks like it's quite untouched! I like the instructions for workers, and the "I hate this place".

Mook you are an URBEX God! My goal is 150 by September 2016, halfway there but my pics are nowhere near as good as yours. Keep up the amazing work!

What an epic-looking place, and great captures; if I had to pick favorites I'd go with 14 and 18. I love the symmetry of 20 as well. Well done!

Thanks everyone - not sure about urbex god but I'll take it! I've got very lucky this year with my explores, I don't think I'll be able to reach 100 in a year again but you never know.

It's a huge site spread over a large area, all you see here is the one big building in the second photo. About 3/4 of the buildings have been torn down leaving only that one and the side with the massive kilns which are protected from demolition. Unfortunately the buildings on the other side, the ones I did in 2010, were almost totally empty even back then.

Here are a few of my old shots showing the half of the site in the first photo back then.

The elevated conveyors have all been removed as well sadly.
