Here are some photos from the 100 year old Nurses Residence I explored/stayed in while completing a clinical placement. (This is also a re-post from the Winnipeg local thread, since I have finally figured out how to properly post photos to the forum and wanted to share them with a broader audience!)

The upstairs of the building was renovated in the last 40 years, so it is utilized by staff/others to stay in while they are working at the hospital. The basement on the other hand, looks like it hasn't been touched in years!

The first photo is of the steam tunnel leading from the residence to the hospital. I was told by the staff, that years ago it used to be used to move linen between the two buildings.

From the picture that seems like it'd be a pretty shitty job, unless the tunnel was larger before they shrunk for just the steam pipes alone (with the corrugated metal surrounding). Did you wind up going inside of it?

Thanks bud!
The wittiness wasn't there today so I figured why not make it simple haha

I think it was larger, but I don't believe it was ever big enough to walk through standing up.
I did not however, end up going inside. You can't tell from the photo, but there is a lot of heat pumping through that tunnel. Plus, I didn't feel like walking next door to get burns looked at by the staff I just finished working with lol
