Though the location was nothing special, this explore is notable in our group for its series of firsts. For one, it was our first time exploring in the rain. We almost cancelled the trip, but thankfully we decided to go for it anyway. On our way inside, we made a few friends - two girls, and their dog, had come to see the place. After a short conversation, we told them we were going in, and asked if they'd like to come, which they agreed to. This was another pair of firsts: Exploring with people outside of our group, and exploring with an animal.

A little background on the location itself: It was the supply hub of a mental hospital that also acted as a freezer for the meat and ice cream. In September of 2014, the second floor was damaged in a fire.

Going inside, I discovered that rainy days are probably my new favorite time to explore. The dark shadows, cool air, and the soft patter of rain outside makes for a very relaxing atmosphere, and I hope to do it again sometime.















It was also probably our creepiest explore. It sounded like there might have been someone else in the building, but we could never tell if it was just the rain. It was too dark to shoot down there, but a few times, while exploring the large basement, we turned our lights off and just listened. Spooky.

I prefer exploring in the rain. Bad weather makes things more memorable.

Exploring in the rain is my favourite as well. It helps keep nosey neighbours from badgering you.

these are great! i really like the one with the hole in the wall, has a very "war torn" 3rd world feel to it
