Kuroshio means "black tide" and is also the name of an ocean current stretching from Taiwan to the north pacific current. The building lies on a hill at the coast, embedded in thick forest which is supposed to house deer, wild pigs and even wild dogs. Of course many spooky stories are told about the Kuroshio lodge as well as about many other japanese ruins - that seems to be even more popular in Japan than in Europe. The building is one of the oldest and most famous abandoned locations in the region so the extent of vandalism is obvious.
