An abandoned school out in Brush. It's not in the locations DB (that I can see). Almost completely untouched by taggers, but would not recommend visiting here. The ENTIRE place is thoroughly layered in pigeon shit. We were in and out very quickly with good respirators.

There's still some stuff in the classrooms... completely covered in bird shit and the occasional dead bird. Seems like they stored a lot of random stuff in the cafeteria too.

I really can't emphasize enough how foul it is in there.

I live really close to this place. Drove around it a couple different times but never saw a good POE it looked locked up tight. The way the ceilings are coming down is amazing. Did you make it above the first floor?

Thanks for the articles! Pretty fascinating place. POE is on the second floor, we had to do little climbing to get in. Be careful though, when I first looked in I nearly got knocked off the window sill by ~50 pigeons freaking out and flying away. It was a little awkward in broad daylight, but no one seemed to care. Some teenagers wandered onto the grounds briefly and a a neighbor waved at us.

Yup, we hit this on the way back to Denver from the Sterling mill, I76.

Some more photos. It's been almost two weeks and neither of us have died or turned into a pigeon yet. So that's a plus.

Is it the same? I feel like it is very similar but not at the same time.

Couldn't say for sure if it is or not, but the Brush school appears to have mostly tiled ceilings while the other one has plaster. You also mentioned Hwy 70 which is further south than Brush which is on Hwy 76.
There are actually a lot of abandoned schools on the eastern plains. I know of about 5 in towns and there are several more old one room schools out in the rural areas. I'm going by one of those later this week, I'll grab some photos.
