Trying to quit my forum lurking habits.

I'm sure I'm not the only lurker around here. I've just never had a lot to say, and so I never post. I had made an introductory post about a year ago when I first joined up, but since then my visits to the site have been few and far between. Life happened, I moved many states away, etc.
So hey, again. I'd like to become more active here and get back to exploring. Especially since I'm many states away from home, this is aaallll new territory. I don't even know anyone out here, so if you're in/from the Washington state area, please hit me up. I'd love to potentially meet up and trade stories and the like.
In the mean time, I plan on hitting up marked locations nearby me. They seem old and outdated so I'm gunna see if they're still there. Granted I can't edit the pages, but I believe I can make forums about them for someone else to? hm. I've forgotten how things worked here, hahah.
cheers.

Welcome (back to posting?) to UER!

My advice is to try and meetup with some of your locals! The location Database is limited to Basic Members, for privacy purposes, so you won't be able to see many of the location in it for your area. The best way to get out there is just to go and do it! Post in your region that you'd like to meet up with some people and have someone show you the ropes, or something similar!

Most people I have encountered here are really nice people and usually more than willing to share with people once they've gotten to know them.

As am I. I lurked for a few years and never made an account, I really regret it. Now I'm just trying to get into the habit of actually posting anything worthwhile.
Also I'm trying to overcome my social anxiety which holds me back from posting like 99% of the time. I can never tell how a post will come off as, so I always have to overthink it and then give up halfway through before realizing its not worth it. Sorry if all of that was to much or something, just trying to force myself to socialize and I figured it wasn't worth making a separate thread when this one pretty much on par with what I was going to post.

Hey if you piss someone off it probably would've happened anyways at some point for some other reason. So who cares just post it

I have my own social anxiety demons to deal with as well. One thing that was explained to me in the past is that if you do have haters, you are on the right track. It means you are doing something meaningful with your life.
