I think all the big caves there have been discovered. There's always the Gatsby Cave (old wine cellar / creamery cave), not super big but a little harder to find than the other ones

I see, not sure if I was in that one but we did explore the main body of the two caves as well as a one or two other semi-collapsed limestone-ceilinged cavernous spaces that were connected to the main caves.

Are those the creamery/wine caves you mentioned earlier do you think?

The "Gatsby Cave" is one long tall room, masonry walls and ceiling IIRC. It had a shaft in the ceiling and connections to some of the crawls. I don't think it's on the official maps that I've seen, Gatsby and I came across it by accident while crawling around.

In the late 1800s, A.M. Smith's wine cellar was located there. The DeSoto Creamery was also nearby. Later on the Minneapolis Cold Storage was in that same area.

Turn off the internet and go play outside.

Hmm.. Not sure if I remember that. The only bricks I remember were the water main tunnel and some collapsed archway type structure within the caves. I do remember a few other large cavernous cave like spaces we walked through before we entered the main caves... I think....

Been there myself, thanks to some kickass locals.

"We tied a wrench to a small length of rope and stuck it down the hole, then pulled the cover off with it."

Damn, that's a good idea. It is rather conspicuous carrying around a prybar at night through the city.. I'll try this method sometime.

yeah i dont really remember the fine details except for the essentials;how to get in and out. My mindset was more along the lines of "holy fuck im in a cave i wanna look at all of the things".

So thats what i did, and it all kinda just mushed together in the excitement

yeah im pretty sure me and cosmic found the Gatsby caves but i cant say for sure. but it looked similar to the water main tunnel except that you could actually stand up all the way and maybe even walk with a person right next to you.
