An Unexpected School Reunion

This huge high school needs no introduction as it's been seen countless times before and will probably be instantly recognised by everyone, but the day I finally got around to seeing it was a little bit special! I had wanted to see it for so long and it didn't disappoint.

We pulled up outside it one sunny Sunday morning and instantly realised there was something amiss. The old school playing field was rapidly filling with people who were setting out stalls and tables, and we watched as numerous pick-up trucks arrived with smokers and barbecues in their beds.

Not having a clue what was happening we went our own way and spent a number of hours in the school, and after we emerged at around midday we asked one of the locals what was going on. His reply? 'It's a reunion'. Needless to say we were stunned, and it was then that we noticed numerous middle-aged people walking onto the field with shirts emblazoned with the old school logo!

That place looks really cool! Any idea what happened to the floor in the gym?

Dampness making the wooden slats expand until they are forced upwards, it happens quite a lot in places but this is the biggest of the sort I've seen.

That stood out to me as well. I've seen it before, but never to that extreme. Great shots all the way around and looks like a fun place!!

Damn dude this is a really nice set! Does the pool seem incredibly small to anyone else? It almost looks like its 15 meters to me

Love this school! I was there recently, and for some reason i couldn't find the main gymnasium. I gave up after walking in circles for a while. Hah.

And R.I.P auditorium chandeliers. =[

It's actually pretty difficult to find, I don't think I'd have located it had I not been with someone who had been there before. You've got to go really far back into the building, past both pools and the cafeteria bit with the room full of textbooks and it's near there - at least as far as I can remember!

There were people taking part in the reunion on the field literally right outside the newer gymnasium, at one point someone even banged on one of the doors which made us jump although I don't think they knew anyone was in there. Once a generator started up and someone else started singing it was alright lol!

I have no idea why your quote and my post is appearing like that, the tags are fine.
