Adding to the Location DB

Hey Folks,
Wasn't sure where to ask this, so I figured questions are generally best directed to the rookie forum.
I have some locations I have visited/will be visiting soon/am looking for POEs for that are not currently in the DB. Usually I'd go ahead and just add them, but I'm wondering where people here stand on locations that you haven't found on your own. For example, from other UE-related websites, or in one case, from a UER thread that was started by a non-full member (meaning they do not have permission to add/edit DB entries). I appreciate the vast wealth of information I have taken from here on UER, and I'm all for giving back, however not at the cost of taking credit for someone else's work.
Suggestions?

As a non-full member, I would be really pissed if I found out someone who hasnt even been to a location stole one of mine and added it. That being said, I accept that there have been many people before me to visit each of the places I have been to, and it is bound to be added by another full member sooner rather than later.

not sure how to address this seems like a multipart question

a DB location requires certain information and pics, hopefully pics you took and haven't stolen or downloaded from somebody else's website

if the location already exists in the DB, you can still add your pics

it does not matter if you found it on your own, read about it in a book or on UER or the tooth fairy told you where it is if you explored it you can contribute

if you have a more specific question you can always send a message to DB moderator Mike Dijital he's got the say so on DB entries being valid or not

So what are you saying? You want to add someone else's post to the DB? As with any other time you are borrowing from somebody, ask first. If they didn't put it in the DB then they probably don't want it there. If they don't mind but just didn't have the time to add it then they probably won't have a problem with you doing it. Just remember that not everyone who uses the DB is there to take photos. It's a great way to find places to smash and steal from provided you see the entry before all the other people with bad intentions.

I wouldn't add anything you haven't explored. That doesn't seem to make much sense because you wouldn't be able to fill out half of the information. However, as far as stuff that you've explored and have all the proper information to fill out, there's no reason not to. You might want to consider making the location available to full members only though if it's not already tagged up and striped down.

Oops... Thought I had responded to this earlier.
Let me clarify by saying I'm not adding entries for places that I haven't visited, nor am I seeking approval for 'stealing' other people's work. I'm specifically asking about a location that was brought to my attention by a UER forum post from a non-full member. Not looking for advice on adding entries, public vs. private settings, ect. The location is very low security, and is covered in graffiti - not that this info is relevant to my question. I will contact the member who posted the original thread, and I was simply wondering if there was a way to credit non-full members in the case that the member wishes me to add the location to the DB.
Once again, I'll clarify that I'm not making DB entries for places I haven't visited; that would be ridiculous. When I said "will be visiting soon/am looking for POEs" I was implying that the question regarded after gaining entry/finding said POEs. Geez that got hot quick.
