New York Meetup

Hey all,

I've been hitting buildings in New York City for almost a year now, and I'm starting to run dry on good places. I'm wondering if any other explorers in the NYC area would be down to meet up and hit some locations together. We can get coffee or something first if you wanna prove that I'm not a cop or whatever.

PM me if you're interested and want more details. I've only posted a couple of the places that I've been to on this site- partially due to laziness.

Hoping to find people in the NYC area also. I moved here very recently, just been to one place. I'd love to find more, of course, if you/anyone in NY is down to explore.

Alright so there's interest. Weekday? How's next..I dunno, Monday? After work, maybe 7PM? If this conflicts, suggest an alternative. We should be able to put something together quickly...

How about a location? I've got access to a public space near Union Square which I used as a meeting spot/class location for technology stuff, we could meet here (HackManhattan), otherwise there's a diner around the corner, coffee shops, etc. Again, suggestions welcome.

So my suggestion: HackManhattan on 14th st, Monday Nov 9th 8PM. Thoughts?

This actually happened pretty shortly after I posted and a group of 5ish people met up and traded a few stories and locations.
I'd be down to do it again though. What are other people's thoughts on what Stove suggests?

So, with no other suggestions, if you're interested show up around, I dunno, 8? tomorrow, Monday night, at HackManhattan (137 W 14th st - press the buzzer, go up the stairs, follow sign). We may not be alone, but it's a good a place as any to meet.

I'll also be on chat, for those to wish mock me as I sit alone at 8:30 tomorrow night with a bottle of bourbon.

Uhh, what? I tried, it didn't work, *I* am most certainly *NOT* trying to re-host this on Thursday. If people want together, try for some time in December- it seems short-term isn't the route to go.

The space will be open Thursday, feel free to turn up, but it's an open night, so there will likely be a bunch of nerds around.
