Linfield Industrial Park, PA stories.

I go to the Linfield Industrial Park, or Kinsy's to some, frequently. The first time I went, one of the people I went with decided to climb rusted water tower. I don't go with him anymore. Another time I went, me and my group went into one of the corporate buildings (I think) and me and some some friends were checking out the back, where supplies were kept, when we heard a loud bang and the door on the opposite side opened. A tall figure came through the door. We thought it was the guard that patrols the area sometimes. He shined his flashlight around the room, but it was not a good one and he didn't see us. He went into one of the rooms othe side and we snuck out. We looked to our left and saw the junkiest looking girl ever. She explained her and her junkie boyfriend were looking for scrap to use.

Well, those are my two stories. Anyone else here goes to Linfield Industrial?

Was there a few times, overcome with exhaustion walking around not being able to get into hardly any of the buildings... good times.

Went there only once back around 2005. Checked out the winery ruins (barrels and such). Got into a few of the big storage buildings. Hit the roof of the one closest the river and drank a beer. It was relaxing but not very captivating. If I lived a little closer, I might go there at night to party.

I went here once. I haven't posted all my pics yet, but I'll go ahead and share my Flickr album. That tower you mentioned is in there. I did have a very unusual experience here: A massive explosion went off. I'd say it was a mile away or something, but very, very big. It made the ground vibrate, and it also made the news (obviously).

As I was leaving, the cops confronted me, asking me if I "knew where that explosion came from"... But all I could do was point in a general direction. And the funny thing is, everyone you ask after the event... they seem to have a different opinion about where the boom came from.

A lot of research was put into the science of why it happened, but I've always subscribed to the idea that it was a shift in tectonic plates, which historically has been known to cause "booms" like this.

Nice photos.

If you are able to get any of the big barrels out, they are worth over 200 dollars.

Also, if you happen to search Linfield Industrial on Google images, people were having nude photoshoots in there.

I live close to the area. I randomly found an old Kinsey Distillery bottle actually across the river at one point. I think it mistakenly got thrown away at some point, which I was pissed to learn about.

So if you happen to have any left over and willing to part with it???

--------------

I've been there several times. Saw the old barrels I think our first time there. Another time we chilled on the roof and filmed an interview (as seen in this trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPk5-sLySE4)

Saw/heard some kids ripping around on ATV's or something. Later that day we saw (owners maybe) driving around picking up logs on a tractor.

Got a sweet shot of the old water tower at night with a full moon in the background for a horror movie we filmed in high school, too.

Been there a few times about 9 years ago. Pennhurst was decidedly much more interesting. There was that cool 30-50,000 gal stainless steel tank. Got into most of the buildings. Came very close to falling through a collapsing floor in the whiskey aging building. I literally was out running the floor as it collapsed from under my feet. Fun times..

One of the most boring places I've ever explorer. Went once and never felt the need to return.

You find the old house by the river? Depending on what was open there was some interesting things there 10 years ago. A lot of walking.

No, I was there probably 6/7 years ago. We spent a good amount of time there. coolest thing we found was what I believe to be a maintenance shop. outside of that the place wasnt worth all the walking to me.

Truthfully, I would have much rather stayed on the other side of the river.
I've always been a fan of the hurst.

Never been. I have driven through but the smoking road hasn't been enough of a draw to get me out of the car. LOL

Prior to about 2004 there was more there. I used a back at least once. It's huge. Penn was really nice then and always worth the trouble.
