Months and months ago Tiffers and I spent a whole day exploring a town in east Texas. There were a lot of spots on our radar that we hit up, and a few more that just caught our eyes. This was one of those places. It is a small service station/tire shop/automotive garage with nothing much to its name or architecture. But I loved the murals on the wall and really enjoyed the light and shadow play in the place. I wish I had taken more pictures inside. Last time I drove by the entry point was peeled back a lot more and I figure vandals and taggers have probably gotten to the murals by now. I could be and hope I am wrong. Enjoy.

I LOVE stuff like this. So crazy that someone thought it was a good idea to paint a mural of a Firestone store...

So I had not actually noticed it before, but I'm pretty sure the mural of the Firestone store is a painting of the building itself. The left mural is definitely a painting of a building down the road. The Firestone painting strongly resembles the structure, though none of the Firestone logos or memorabilia were left over. I assume at some point it was turned into a mom and pop shop. Thanks for making me think about it a little more.

Great shots Indo, really liked the Firestone murals, surprised to see them in such stark difference to everything around them.
