While on my way to Midland I stopped off in a small town to find a Cafe/Motor Court I had seen on the web. It wasnt readily visible even though the photo looked like it was taken from the highway. I stopped into the only other cafe in town and asked where it was and to my disappointment it had been demolished. I asked the nice waitress in the cafe if she knew of any other abandoned buildings in town and she replied, "Honey, take your pick. Thats all we got here!".

After quizzing her a bit more she said that the most interesting place would be an old bank with the vault still intact and pointed the way. Little did I know, the bank was just one of dozens of buildings in this town holding exploratory treasures!

This place is an odd mixture of residential buildings that are occupied alongside abandonments galore! About 60% of the town is either abandoned or vacant. It was incredibly strange driving down perfectly laid out streets that held nothing but weeds and mesquite.

This place is an Urbex dream! I could have spent 2 days here and not seen it all. The best part is that none of it has been tagged although much of it has been vandalized unfortunately.

Any members who want more info on this town let me know.

Nice find! Kinda weird how the roof is just... gone.

In my area there are a lot of ghost towns that have been starting to recover. Just look for the old rail tracks or mills.

Any idea on when this building was built? Of when the town was founded?
