Just moved to the Austin area, hoping to meet some new people. < on 8/22/2015 7:05 PM > | Reply with Quote
I just moved to the Austin area from the east coast and I was hoping to meet some new people! I left all my old UE friends back home and I'm not really into exploring alone, just because that can be dangerous.
I'm also kind of nervous to check out the scene here because the east coast is so different. I'm used to houses that are hidden away in forests and huge fields. The only houses I've seen here are in neighborhoods. I also have yet to find / see any other sort of building, like a factory or what have you. We don't really have massive, cool drains on the east coast - which I'm seeing is a big thing here. I'm not asking for locations though, just to be clear. I'm just feeling kind of lost in this new environment because it's so different from what I'm used to.

Drains! Drains! Drains!
I'm from Houston but I tend to spend a lot of time in Austin. Austin has some cool drains. As far as a abandoned shit goes, it's few and far between. But welcome to the south
Texans travel a lot for exploring.

There's TONS of massive drains on the east coast! Just for the record.

I am also fairly new and looking people to go exploring with. I've heard a big deal about the drains but with all the rain we had this year I havent dare to go check them out yet.

If your looking for drains make sure your forecast is clear. I have never been to Austin although I will be going sometime next year. however if I was in Austin and looking for drains, I would probably walk the Colorado river from one side of downtown to the other. usually if you keep your eyes peeled you cant go wrong. happy hunting's.
