Did the train derail off of nearby tracks?

The wreck happened in 1956 in a rock cut. There was three boxcars loaded with lumber jammed and blocking the line. The Pacific Great Eastern Railway equipment wouldn't budge them so the company got a hold of a local logging company and asked them to move the wreck with a couple D8 bulldozers.

They pushed the mangled cars off the track. Then dragged them into the woods. Where they currently sit.

It sounds classier if you pronounce it "tray-passing"

Very cool! If I were to stumble on that by chance, I'd probably giggle like a teenage girl.
