| | | I'm not gonna lie but the 10+ years I've explored storm drains maybe 5 of those years I've explored drains alone but I'm always looking for new friends to explore with. As of recently (within the last 3 years to be exact) me exploring drains alone seems to come and go, only because storm drains are my favorite but it doesn't seem to be others favorite. It's not as scary as it seems but there can be some scary stuff happening in drains like sudden loud noises (cars running over manhole covers) my headlamp spots eyes looking at me from a distance, other weird noises (sometimes I can hear people talking above ground), sometimes other people come into the drain, not knowing who they are (always other explorers and not too often that happens). One time I heard a scurrying noise, what sounded like an animal trampling through the leaves, which ended up being the wind blowing leaves down manhole grates. Overall it can be scary exploring a storm drain alone, especially when it's a big, long drain goes very far but honestly I've gotten used to going alone to explore drain. Just so we're clear, I'm always looking for new friends to go exploring with as long as you all understand that I'm very into urban exploring and needs to be taken seriously. As for exploring buildings, caves and sewers alone, I've never done that because that seems more dangerous than exploring storm drains alone (LOL).
