These are often the greatest moments of an explorer's career. Important aspects of these houses is that they often seem like the owners just up and left. There can be variable amounts of decay present, but they're usually portals to the past with older architecture, wallpaper, and decorations. Letters, collections, diaries, valuables, awards, hobby items, and pictures aid an explorer in determining the lifestyle of the previous inhabitants, and create a very emotional setting.
