Missle Silos around the Twin Cities

I was just wondering if anyone has done any of the missile silos around the twin cities. With some light research I was able to find the addresses of four. I know a person who'd be down but I have no idea what the security is like at any of them. I know 2 are owned by the government, and two are owned by privately. They're a pretty big drive for me for no guarantee of being able to explore them.

Also: Hello, I'm new here. I know one person whose pretty active in the TC urbex scene, but I'm just getting into it. I like climbing shit and I like going underground.

Go drive around and have a look. Remember, the launch site and the control site are separated.

Try going west.

Looking into the Farmington location, security doesn't look all that tight - on the outside, you've just got a barbed wire fence, and having never heard of the place prior to this post, I can't begin to guess as to what it's got going on within.

The property seems to be in the process of figuring out who among our nation's great bureaucracies wants to claim it, but the most recent article I've found so far is from 2013. Apparently the county sheriff's department occasionally uses it for training and MNDOT has an active radio tower on the grounds, so it's not like the place is completely abandoned. I dunno. Venture at your own risk/discretion?

The whole place was cleaned up and refurbished back in the 2008-2010-ish timeframe, so while it IS cool, it won't have the history you might be hoping for. It was bought by a guy with more money than sense (at the time) to be used for Military/LE Training. The community was hell bent on preventing him from ever making a profit on it, though, so it all went to fuck.

I appreciate the responses. I'll defiantly be checking out the near by locations regardless of degradation at some point in the futuretm. I'll come back with pictures.

Does anyone know if there's any super good locations that have been relatively untouched since their closing? I don't want locations, I can find those on my own. It'd be awesome to know if there's some sort of gem I could find through research and talking to people.

These things exist. Most people with knowledge of such a location keep it on the down-low
