Although you can't tell from the silhouette, this is a rusty old hulk found in the middle of a secluded forest on the Niagara escarpment. It was part of the DEW (Distant Early Warning) system in the 1950s. A local company here (Fleet) was contracted by Siemens Electric to manufacture and test radar equipment ordered by the U.S. government. This tower tested and calibrated signals from the 100 radar dishes that Fleet built.

	A trapped cat that me and my exploring partner rescued. Still no idea how he got up there in the first place. How about active security? (camera, motion detector, guard, etc)
