Ive been watching this guys woodworking videos for a long time, he is the inventor and engineered for the trackball, and trackpads on blackberry phones, and is an amazing woodworker in his own right. he makes everything out of wood, watch some of his other videos to have your mind blown , but this one is on his home made wooden tripods I thought the photoheads would enjoy

This is majorly impressive. I wouldn't even know where to start. I will say this probably wouldn't hold up to the beatings that all of us put our tripods through. But it is art.

Every time you read this, I become more powerful.

I use both wooden and aluminum fiberglass tripods, most of the time wood. They weigh less are less likely to mark up walls and trim when we use them in homes. Most of mine are from my surveying days and were made in the fifties and work just as good today as they did then. A yearly coat of linseed oil and off to the next job. I use them in exploration because of the weight and unlike the metal ones they never fail. You can find them at pawn shops for little money.
