do try.

Cute (seriously). I'm interested in the find, not getting people to pay for my pics and get a book deal. I know that people LA, CHICAGO, and NYC can be tight-lipped about locations. But for a visitor in a city, there are usually "publically" know and off the path places that an explorer who is not threated will share.

This post makes my head hurt.

Did somebody actually make threats? I'm confused.

Locations that are publically known? Umm... Drains? The Action Squad Checklist?

Maybe you should go explore Abbott Hospital, Horseshoe Cave, United Crushers, Hamms Brewery, Lowertown Depot, Landmark Brewery, Bureau of Mines, Pilsbury A Mill, Bunge Mill, Fruen Mill, Island Station Power Plant, Northern Star Potato, and Banholzer Cave.

Oh, and the fucking Vikings Stadium construction site.

Just in case our messages are too cryptic for a non-local, I'll spell it out 100% fucking crystal:

You go there, there are sensors and guards. We are not shitting around, there are fucking motion sensors on the property and on-site guards in black SUV's. The sensors go right to the police department, homeland security, and the k9 units, and sometimes the helicopters if it's a slow night. They have deemed the site being worthy of national security (I'll let you put two-and-two together as to why that's so. Use google earth.). The authorities will be there within 10 minutes. No one goes there anymore, so if you do, I hope you can run fast.

If you want to protect the locations you love to explore, don't talk about them online in public!
If you want to make exploring friends, send people private messages! Meet up in real life! Get off the internet!
Don't try to have a UER e-penis! You won't impress anyone! This especially means you, Minneapolis MN newbies!

Island Station is rubble, Abbott hospital has been gone for over a decade, Landmark Brewery/a fair chunk of Pilsbury A Mill being converted into pretentious condos, and Hamm's brewery has a bunch of new business tenants (including some indoor organic farm??? Damn new age hippies)

So that cuts that list in half. Lowertown Depot is still a somewhat decent place, though. I've never actually been to Bunge, but there's been a couple of falls both there and Fruen this year, so I don't know what security in like in those areas.

As for the caves, I've always thought those were kind of a 'meh' location - fine for greenhorns, but there's so many people who know about them/go there that I don't really see them so much "abandoned" as "extralegally reappropriated."

In the time since i've made this post I visited Chutes and Satans, and i have plans to visit the Lilydale caves and ToT when I am back home from college. As well as various other drains, caves and holes. My current room mate has climbing gear we might be able brave yoerg with, I dont feel like free-climbing that spooky hole...

It's only spooky the first time you get into it, I've been in Satans I'm not sure if I was in Chutes. But in some there's literally huge footholes the entire way down the hole, and the last 15 feet at the bottom of the drop is all rope latter, which is fine getting down but sucks a little to get up. As long as you are able to pull yourself up the shaft after the huge hole you should be good. The first couple times I went the guys had to straight pull me out of the metal shaft,LOL. As long as you have one hand always on the rope the only scary part is first positioning yourself in the hole. But if you're worried about it you should take climbing gear. Make sure to bring Tea Light candles it is most definitely worth the climb down it's by far one of my favorite, area's to light up in candles. Have you been in Nat Geo? it's the one off of the other caves with the motorcycle, and couch seats!! I have a few pictures of those if you're interested.

Well its definitely worth a scouting mission first, as I have never actually seen the hole. I have not been I'm Amy of the lilydale caves and do not know their exact locations so I'll have to stumble up and down the bluff for a while until I find them. I did find one of them however, it was the one in which that one 19 year old kid fell last summer or the summer before and had to be rescued. It appeared to be filled in about 8 to 10 feet down the shaft. It was a mostly vertical shaft going straight down through the limestone. There's a big clearing there now where they had ti chop stuff down to make room for the rescue operation.
