Ruins of a Quaker Mill

A very small set of only 3 pictures here. This is what is left of one of many mills that scattered along the area. It was originally built in 1749 by a Quaker miller and farmer. This was a very peculiar and creepy day with the heavy fog just looming over the forest.

I loved it. Provided a unique atmosphere and interesting light to work with (more like lack of light). I didn't realize this was in the area and the wife and I simply went for a hike when we came upon it. Anyhow, hope you enjoy them.

No HDR used - the moss was that green that day ( I don't particular like it and don't have this feature on my camera - to each their own)

1. The Ruins

2. The Ruins Cellar

3. Contemplation Spot (overlooked the mill)

Well for a 3-shot gallery, those are excellent!
I'd hate to be hiking through the area and encounter that hole without paying attention.

Thanks for the kind words - as far as the cellar, wish there was more to it but unfortunately it's just an empty cold room.

These are some amazing pictures and the fact that it's not a giant post makes it easier to admire each one.

I personally hate HDR.

The fog really adds a nice atmospheric touch.
