Hello exploring addicts,
i'm new so please give me a little bit of time lol. these pictures below were captured last week when me and some buddies went exploring out in Adelaide. Turns out there's an old mine that no one really knows about. (unfortunately, you can no longer get into the tunnels/ they were blocked off.. bastards)

this is the mine keepers house on the property (also abandoned due to a murder that happened there feb,7th 2014.) so if you decide to visit please be aware that you WILL be committing a felony by entering the property. (so basically, just don't get caught lols.)

1.

As you go further up the hill behind the house, you will find the mining shops/ buildings.. be ready to [entry details removed]. oh and i almost forgot, BATS galore!

2.
sorry, i apologize for it being sideways lol. But this is inside one of the buildings.. that long wood thing on the floor appears to be an old stretcher? badass..

3.
TONS of assorted nuts and bolts shelf.. super cool! again.. sideways.. *sigh.

Then as you're finished [entry details removed] and start walking around, you will eventually come across the ore mill.

4.

5.

By the way, you may also want to be careful walking around there at night. my friend Nate almost walked into this vicious thing.. it's a wood spider. gross.

6.

beware of any water around the property, as it may contain mercury.

7.

lastly, the only entrance to what once was the klau mine.

thanks for checking out my forum, there's more to come!

You should read the forum rules, because rule #1 is don't reveal entry details publicly. When you do this, you give arsons and vandals a one way ticket into fucking shit up. And is that the location in the title? Really?

Awesome pictures! As JennyUE said, posting real names and entry details are both against the rules here. Why don't you PM a staff member and ask them to change the name of this thread? Also, I would suggest that you edit your post to remove your entry details. If the time limit for editing your post has passed, you should ask a staff member to edit the post to remove the entry details.

Also, welcome to UER (6 months late)!

I checked it out right after the squatter got killed. He came up and chased me and my two sons off while we tried to get entry a few years ago. The link is from about a year ago. There is construction on the main house, which is weird given that the only water is from a hand pumped surface well...right next to a mercury mine(cinnabar). The mine tunnel down the road is still open, but it only goes in about twenty feet or so.

Also, I'm from PR. Welcome to the forums! You should pop over the the Pacific Southwest group, it's a little more local that the general boards. PM me if you have any questions about local spots.

Well JennyUE, if you didn't read the first sentence I typed, then I would totally understand your attitude. But I clearly stated that I'm new so I do need some time to figure everything out. I personally think you could've been a bit more understanding than you were BUT, I appreciate you informing me. Thank you ALL for your help and support. I'm gonna need it lol.
Also Vampire queen, I've tired to PM one of the staff members, but I'm not quite sure how to do so. Would you mind helping me out? Thanks!

Of course I'll help! Just bear with me because I might not be using the proper terms or good enough descriptions of things. If you go to the Forum page (where all of the different forums are visible), you should see the words "UE Moderators" underlined and italicized under the link to each forum. If you click on it, you'll be taken to a list of the site's moderators. If you click on any of the names, you'll be taken to that moderator's page. If you look under their avatar, there are 2 small envelopes. Click on the yellow envelope to start a new PM. I would suggest including a link to this thread or the post so the mod knows where to go. If you need me to clarify, please let me know!

I've gone ahead and modified your post to remove the entry details.

It is, indeed, against the rules to post entry details. However, while it might be inadvisable in some cases, it is NOT against the rules to post the specific location, as you did in the subject line.

You could do what VQ said, but a better way to get in touch with a mod is actually via the "Contact a Moderator" board here:
http://www.uer.ca/...sp?fid=1&catid=777

Also, sorry you got an unwelcoming response to your post... This really isn't that big of a deal. We know you're new and just didn't know.

Also, cool thread, thanks for sharing!

I was hoping a mod would come in and comment because I knew that I was forgetting something in my explanation. I would definitely suggest that you take DJ Craig's advice about contacting a mod instead of mine.

Much better, Thank you so very much DJ Craig! Ironically I just finished sending my PM to a moderator before i saw that it had already been modified lol. Vq, thanks for all you're help. I was actually able to contact a moderator quite easily based on you're directions, But thanks DJ Craig for making it a bit easier! Hopefully from now on, I won't have any issues with My forums lol. Thanks again everyone!

Good call on modifying the post. Even though that spot is much more blown up than it looks, it's best to keep it hiding in plain sight. oddly enough, there was once a local tour book that mentioned this spot as a place to "explore"!

The peeps here are understandably protective of their spots. Not only does it help keep the scrappers and vandals at bay, it also helps other novice explorers stay safe. Mines are dangerous, yo.
