Stupidity has reached an all-time high in my books. Working with a small company, I was asked to setup 10 servers for an office. This office is too far for me to drive on a daily basis and the company wouldnt spring for a hotel room. Instead I received on my doorstep a $300 webcam and a microphone. For the past week Ive been monitoring the building and setup of these systems over Windows Mesenger. Last night at about 12am easteren, the person building the servers asked if he could plug them in.I say yes he can.The company has an outlet that goes drectly into the breaker panel and then has a small stepdown box connected to it, wit 100 outlets. I told the idiot to get the outlet box but instead he grabs a powerstrip hooks all the computers to it and plugs it in. Needless to say, 10 grand worth of equipment is gone, the building will have to have one whole floor rewired and a wall re-drywalled.
