What do you do when your family company becomes one of the richest in France in the 1800s? Exactly, you build the most ridiculously expensive office to show off.

The decay is perfect, the building is imposing and the ironwork is amazing. A place like this is why I have this hobby. It was a rather short visit and the sunlight was harsh so I think a revisit needs to happen soon.

Wow looks incredible! Thanks for sharing.

It's great that it looks so free of vandalism as well!

Stunning! You sure were right about all the amazing ironwork.
The shot of the roof structure (or what's left of it) was remarkable.

What a Grand office building this must of been during its time. Perfect mix of decay and an glimpse back when people of social status built impressive places.
4 5 and 12 are lovely.

I wonder if people back then thought the stuff they saw every day was as pretty as we think it is now...

Thanks. All credits go to the awesome building ;)

@Skye_Ann
I think so, because the difference between rich and poor was even greater back then. The workers of this company lived in tiny crappy houses while the rich family literally built a castle for themselves nearby. Imagine passing it everyday to your dirty job, thinking "I'm pretty much working for my boss' pretty castle".

@enirus
I'll hand out napkins at future posts ;)
