I've always found it interesting that no matter what condition a location is in, there always seems to be untouched window curtains/blinds somewhere inside. It adds to the saying that time freezes in these places. By looking at the colors and designs, you can sometimes get a sense of the time period in which the buildings were functioning. Nice! I love how the floor is completely collapsed but the curtains are intact.

I'll add a few:

1. This is one of my favorite pictures from a long-abandoned house in Virginia. A destroyed wall in the foreground and untouched curtains on an unbroken window in the background.

4. Barely hanging on in rural Indiana

ALWAYS have been intrigued by curtains left in a window. Thanks for being mesmerized by them too LOVE your pics!
