Upon turning the corner in the attic, I was immediately caught off guard by the woman's massive breasts, not so much from attraction but rather disgust combined with amazement that the human vertebra could support such melons without succumbing to scoliosis. For a moment all I could do was truly stare, like some perverted, wide-eyed Asian sitting alone in the back corner of an inner city titty bar trying desperately not to stroke the snake in his now tight pants. After my bout of elongated gander, my eyes began to focus back to reality, however my mind was now consumed with wonder. I wondered how she wound up pinned to the wooden beams within the same cobweb covered asylum attic as I found myself exploring within. How long had she been up here, and why? She wasn't a particularly thin woman either, although her massive jugs allowed her overall figure to appear skinnier, so I assumed she was eating well? I felt dirty touching her, like I was violating myself, herself! Then she began to expose more and more of her body and I couldn't help but continue to stare. The explicit acts grew dirtier as I looked further. They began to involve objects used to pleasure and fill all sorts of holes, yet no dialect nor conversation followed at all. As I broke my trance like stare to look around, I spotted yet another woman completely revealing herself in another corner, her legs spread wide open over an old 70's chair. Yet as quickly as she appeared into my vision, a gentle breeze swept her away. I began to notice the entire floor of this room was littered with pornographic images ripped from some 1970's era magazine with the poster sized fold-out spreads of various pornstars all thumb-tacked to the attic beams. Was this the janitor's secret jack-off spot, hidden in the confines of the attic cupola, or perhaps the making of some bored teenagers porn stash, stolen from under his fathers bed? I decided it was an idea no longer worth pondering, for as I grasped my wrist over the first rung upon the ladder leading up the the pinnacle of the cupola steeple, my palm became coated in a mysterious goo, a glob I hoped was just lube used loosen the rusty hinges of the wooden trap door atop the ladder I had to butt open with my head; sometimes you find the weirdest shit in abandoned buildings.

I've been experimenting with gradient clarity to add more depth. Still not sure if it's working for the intended purpose, but some of the results look ok.

I could feel her gaining speed, but the blackness swallowed me whole. Haphazardly I floated ahead like a twig caught in a turbulent river eddy. To make things worse, a thick veil of dense fog appeared, acting like a mirror, refracting and reflecting back the narrow beam of light illuminating out from the flashlight I had hastily duck-taped to the bow of my vessel. I had to ride her blind, it was my only choice, that or bail out and float like a buoyant turd bobbing down the unknown murky water. And so I held on, using my paddles to steer her as best as I could, fighting as the current dragged me deeper and deeper into the seemingly endless pit of water and darkness. I could no longer tell up from down, left from right; just floating in space, I might as well have been. Every sound around me morphed into a ghostly echo, which reverberated through the darkened cement catacomb that was sucking me faster and faster into the blinding blackness, a blackhole. An occasional cool splash of sewer water kicked up from my paddles, licked my face, as the momentum of the water pulled me further. My only sense was that I was flowing downhill and gaining speed, quickly. At the mercy of the current I just let myself get taken, swept away. I tried to enjoy the ride, forget about the fact the my life vest was in my car parked miles away, that no-one would find me down here dozens of feet underground in some sewer outflow tunnel. My only hope was that I'd probably be skinny enough to fit through the debris gate at the exit of the tunnel, if I even made it that far alive.

After a few minutes, I noticed the temperature began to shift, the humidity died as the air turned cold and dry, and in a instant the fog lifted and the beam from my flashlight began to illuminate the alien world surrounding me. I was encapsulated within a cement tunnel bored deep beneath the city of Hartford, Connecticut a tunnel that routed the Park River underneath the city. Massive piles of random debris poked out of the river like icebergs of garbage. Than "SMASH" I could feel her come to a near complete stop as her hull nearly became slit over a large piece of unidentifiable jagged metal rising out from the water. I was lodged, but the current building up behind me spun me around and shot me back out into the moving water. In the chaos of spinning and turning my flashlight beam illuminated the hulking ruins of a rusted-out half sunken car flipped onto its side. Meandering through the mind field of garbage obstacles I noticed the current began to slow and I had to paddle to continue with a forward motions. In this exertion of energy, I noticed that the cement ceiling above was covered with this green slimy algae. It looked like thick gooey snot spewed from the clogged nasal passage of a congested whale. I flinched at the idea of even touching it, which would not have been a problem except for the fact that the water was so deep now that I was just mere inches beneath the horrifying goo and if the water rose any higher my hair would certainly be mopping it. And with such a realization of rising waters my worst fear began to play about my mind. I began to panic that the outflow of the tunnel was fully submerged at the exit which could only mean a definite drowning end-game for me. It was in that moment that my kayak became a coffin and I could only hope to see a light at the end of the tunnel...

Wow man... that place is awesome!

Yea it was a pretty amazing place! Despite it being partially collapsed.

This mansion is where the term "Keeping up with the Jonses originated" Built in the 1850s I believe. Sadly it may not be there much longer. It sold at auction a year or so ago. Friends of mine were out that way over the weekend. It has all new fences and a new build is going up about 50 yards away.

Quick and dirty phone pics from an old church in Armadale Western Australia. A friend of mine tells me she went to school here and the church building was the school library. The rest of the school has been demolished but this building is heritage listed due to being over 100 years old.

I got some better pics with my new camera so I'll post them once I figure out how lol.

A rectangular chunk of plaster ceiling dangles limp like a slice of thick bloodied skin ripped from ones knee upon being ejected off a bicycle after violently sliding to an asphalt covered stop. Asbestos tiles obscuring random rotted out holes within the wooden floor below crack like thin ice beneath the weight of my body as I traverse my way deeper into the ancient asylum. The entire hallway wreaks from a combination of mildew, rotting wood, and dirt. It's a thick musky stench which permeates the air, originating from the moist bowels of the basement below, fumigating up through the numerous holes in the floor like a foul burp from the depths of ones esophagus. It's an ancient smell, the type of scent that reminds me I'm into something old; yet a scent not so much terrible as it is terrifying. Like an open casket funeral, it smells like death yet seems so alive.

Ahead, I can clearly see that the floor sags significantly toward the center and like stepping on a wet mattress, with each step forward I can feel my feet sinking deeper into the warped wood, so saturated with water and rot, it nearly takes on an elastic characteristic, springing back up into place as I take another step forward. I try to tip-toe toward the side of the hallway, where the floor meets the wall, however holes in the floor boards are plentiful here. Long, wide open fissures between the floor beams reveal a daunting peek into the dark basement fifteen feet below, a darkened void that I'd certainly fall directly into if the wooden beams beneath my feet were to suddenly give way. The basement like a black hole seems to be sucking everything left to rot within the old asylum, down toward it. Desks, chairs, wheelchairs, gurneys, they all slide toward the center of the sagging floor where massive rusty steam pipes bandaged with asbestos insulation, sagging like sweaty tits on an obese old man expose themselves between the holes in the floor. The jagged and bent steam pipes grin like metal teeth waiting for that one wrong step and trip to send me falling into their clasp to devour, like the fallen furniture before me.

A flimsy iron morgue tray lay around the bend just ahead of me, strategically placed and serving as a rickety bridge connecting the gap between a large collapse too wide to traverse otherwise. As I place the weight of my right foot on the edge of the tray, the thin sheet metal immediately bows inward followed by a loud yet hollow sounding "BOOM" which reverberates down the vacant hallway. Muddied asbestos and wet plaster laden footprints from explorers past tarnish the tray and clearly prove that this is the way. Placing my left foot forward I am now completely balancing my entire body on a morgue tray covering a black hole collapse large enough to swallow me whole. As I shine my flashlight into the darkness beneath I am greeted by the sight of a million cave crickets lining the century old stone walls within the basement. The beam from my light sends them scattering and jumping every-which-way, making it seem as if the walls are moving in. I can hear their mouse size abdomens rain down about the debris littering the basement below, like hail they crash into the cement basement floor while continuing to jump arbitrarily.

A few of the largest mother fuckers even managed to jump high enough up to smash against the bottom of the morgue tray I am balancing about. And in that same moment the mother of all cave crickets somehow preformed a move straight out of American Ninja Warrior and was now perched with its hind legs wound up, directly on the morgue tray with me. Goosebumps shot through my body and I was nearly paralyzed by fear. We both looked at each other. I watched as the fucker's antennas tested the air. My eyes fixed on its alien like hind legs taunt like rubber bands, just waiting to pounce at my face. Slowly I inched forward and in doing so the morgue tray creaks and bends slightly as I painstakingly begin to walk across to the other size. It is in this moment that death seems of necessity, for the alternative is a cave cricket bath, an outcome far, far worse.
